CHILDREN'S BOOK ILLUSTRATORS TO VISIT
Christopher and Jeanette Canyon will be visiting the students and staff at Pickaway Elementary on Thursday, February 5 .The purpose of their programs is to promote the joys of reading, literature, and the arts. The goals of their presentations are to inspire and nurture a life-long celebration of personal expression, gaining knowledge of our world, and sharing our creativity in positive ways with others. 3RD AND 4TH GRADE WINTER CONCERT RESCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 14
The 3rd and 4th Grade Winter Concert will be held on Wednesday, January 14. There will be an afternoon performance at Pickaway Elementary at 1:45PM. The evening performance will be at McDowell Jr. High at 7:00PM.
For the evening performance, students should arrive at McDowelll by 6:45PM.
3RD GRADE AND KINDERGARTEN CHRISTMAS ACTIVITY
On December 18th Mrs. Bohrer's Third Grade Class invited Miss Fraley's Kindergarten Class to enjoy a Christmas story and fun snack. Miss Fraley read Great Joy by Kate DiCamillo and Mrs. Bohrer showed the students how to make Nutter Butter cookies into Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. After the kindergarten left, the third graders discussed related multiplication and answered questions like-"Each reindeer needs three m&ms. How many m&ms for our class? How many for both classes?" KINDERGARTEN CLASSES CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING
The Kindergarten Classes were learning the historical significance of Thanksgiving and enjoyed reading and listening to stories about Thanksgiving. We also made paper turkeys and discussed what we were thankful for! The Feast was the culminating activity. Parents and Grandparents were invited to share in a pot luck style Thanksgiving lunch. PTO LIMO/LUNCH 2014
Congratulations to the following individuals for selling at least 15 items in the Fall PTO fundraiser. Nathan Tackett, Aleigh Michael, Brittani Lane, Zoe Leist, Alison Stewart, Max Karshner, Sage Crawford, Brady Kim, Rhett Karshner, Alexis Kinder, Michael Bock, Aubree Walker, Ella Borland, Brooke Horn, Breanna Mercer, Gracee McDaniel, Abigail Black, Lyric Hoops, Alivia Stephens, Kane Barnes, Kylee McDaniel, and Zoey McLean. For their effort, students earned lunch at Cardo's. Students were transported to the restaurant by limousine on November 19. Click here for additional pictures
