CALAMITY DAY MAKE-UP PLAN
All schools will be in session on Monday, February 19, 2018. If we have additional calamity days, we will utilize Blizzard Bags for the next three days in which we are not in session.You should have already received Blizzard Bag Day 1. Day 2 and Day 3 are being sent home on February 6. If you need additional copies, Blizzard Bags are posted on the left.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION AND SCREENING
Kindergarten Registration/Screening will be held at Pickaway Elementary on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 8:30AM-2:40PM (Appointment is required)
Children must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2018.
Registration and screening will be held on the same day.
Parents/Guardians may pick up a registration packet at the Pickaway office Monday – Friday between 9:30AM – 2:30PM. Forms may also be obtained by clicking here. The completed packet with all supporting documents must be brought in at your scheduled appointment time.
Children should wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing for screening.

LITTLE MISS PICKAWAY 2017
Addison Pritchard has been selected to represent Pickaway Elementary in the 2017 Little Miss Pumpkin Show pageant. Addison is a 1st grade student and the daughter of Rosemary Pritchard. Congratulations Addison!
PTO BOX TOP CHALLENGE
Pickaway Elementary PTO is sponsoring a Box Tops collection contest. The class that collects the most box tops between Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, October 17 will win a special treat. Please use the form sent home to collect your box tops. Need additional forms? Click here Please be sure to include student name, grade and teacher on all submitted forms. Forms must be turned in by Tuesday, October 17 to count for the contest.
SOLAR ECLIPSE INFORMATION
On August 21, we are excited to start our 2017-18 school year off on the same day as the solar eclipse.
In preparation, we have ISO approved solar viewing glasses for all of our staff and students thanks to a generous donation made by the Eric and Diane Maxson family to the Logan Elm Education Foundation.The eclipse will begin around 1:00 pm and last
until approximately 4:00 pm, with the peak time being 2:15–2:45pm.
All students will be educated during the day about this natural phenomena, including the appropriate safety measures.
